Guida's Milk &Ice Cream/BIAC Golf Tournament a HUGE Success

New Britain, CT., June 12, 2009 - Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middlefield was the site of the 23rd Annual BIAC/Guida's Golf Tournament to help benefit the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut. Although the weather started out grey, Guida's and the BIAC greeted over 130 golfers geared up to shoot the 18 hole course all for a good cause.

The BIAC of Connecticut has worked hard to ensure that brain injury survivors, their families and those who care for them have access to the resources required for optimal recovery and full community inclusion. In addition, the BIAC works to reduce both the number and the severity of brain injuries by increasing public awareness and understanding through outreach and educational opportunities. All of these positive opportunities are dependent on the funds raised through this tournament. Guida's has been closely involved with the BIAC for many years but most recently in the past five becoming presenting sponsors for their fund raising golf tournament. This organization is a very special one to the Guida Family as both Al and Mike Guida are brain injury survivors and are living proof that with the right care and knowledge it is possible to overcome the setbacks suffered due to brain injury.

Even in the face of the current economic challenges, the show of generosity was amazing. Guida's and the BIAC raised over $100,000 topping last year's golf event. We thank those who came out and participated. "We just couldn't do it without you." A great charity ... great time had by all!
